Island Rose 05:19
I saw an island rise into the sea, slowly and quietly But then a mountain grew into the sky, what a thing to be distracted by So the island rose under the moon, but the sun came up and it disappeared too soon What I see is what I see I still believe in mysteries And what I know is when you have so far to go You get lost sometimes, so let's get lost tonight Besides, someday we're gonna die, and we'll let our bodies float out with the tide To the island rose under the moon, where our eulogies are the screaming of the loons I believe in a little more The things that I've seen before make me believe in a little more

Infinity 04:39
Infinity has romance for me, and romance has infinity Infinity occupies most of my mind, and romance takes up almost all of my time ... that fly in a sunbeam ... does he know that he's prey to the shadow upon him now? Synchronicity draws a map for me and shows me the way to uncertainty Uncertainty pokes two tiny holes for my eyes and shows me the place past where my grandparents lie ... that fly in a sunbeam ... does he know that he's prey to the shadow upon him now?

Love Is Easy 04:04
I once asked my dad how a love song can seem so sad He paused for a breath, and I noticed the death in his eyes as he remembered the ones that he'd loved before Then I went to my mom and I asked her to play me her favorite song She danced for a little while, and I noticed the smile in her eyes as she remembered the ones that she'd loved before I didn't know it would be so easy with you I guess my suit of armor looks ridiculous now You're the last in a line of attempted goddesses I guess you're not the one who'll shine in my eyes when I remember the ones that I've loved before When you look in your past, do you find that it's hard to make love last? You see a garden overgrown and all the work that you should've done That's when I notice the fear in your eyes when you remember the ones that you've loved before So how could I know it would be so easy I think my suit of armor looks ridiculous now You're the last in a line of attempted goddesses I guess you're not the one who'll shine in my eyes when I remember the ones that I've loved before I guess you're not the one - that I've loved before

Here we are - doing magic all day White magic for you - and black magic for me to make you say ooh la la A fountain in a square in South America sprays perfume in the air and attracts a swarm of lovers there we dare ourselves to die to test another lie, heart beats with trepidation, the beginning of a journey Here we are doing magic all day - black magic for me. I hear the echoes turn to chants and the voice repeats the sounds but the meaning of it fades, like some flag that's hung in tatters in the haze Here we are - we can read the signs in the wind over the water Here we are - we can read the words in the sun across the mountain

Gnosis 04:10
I thought I knew, but I knew nothing Now all this nothing seems so hard to understand I study the past so I can dream the future But every tomorrow finds me helplessly unprepared So I change as I go Once sunny day on my way to nowhere - I felt like the age of the holy ghost is finally coming around I noticed the trees where the seeds had fallen But I noticed no trees grew from the pets I buried in the ground Where does the energy lie? It seems like everybody wants a try But if you happen to fail you might feel better if you manage to cry They're gonna call all the good things bad and the bad things good to try to rule the world But if you wanna come sit on the beach of the cosmic shore, past the hawk and the snake, the Rosicurians' sunset to the east of the twelfth house will light the symbols on the page of the play We'll bring the soul of the mind back to the mind of the soul The one wearing the musician's clothes sings it one more time like this:

Rawan 03:45
We went hunting for a moment To be alone Alone like shadows we saw moving In the frozen lake There was snow on the ground And all the deer were running scared I couldn't put my finger on that urgent feeling... come on, come on! There was a breeze on the mountain It said, "Hello" I noticed the rain between the trees As the sky grew dark There were sounds in the distance And all the deer were running scared You said, "It's just like the ocean" Rawan Let's sleep until the sun becomes too bright I'll keep the coffee warm all day It's so good to see you so free and natural While the devil loves the city far away Rawan

Umbrellas 03:06
One day of silence for two grains of sand Three stray eyelashes blown from my hand Green Turtle kisses the White Butterfly What is he thinking with tears in his eyes I never buy umbrellas anymore Seashells are singing to deaf grains of sand But they clap politely, they're friends with the band After an hour the Butterfly sleeps Rain fills her dreams as the ceiling crack seeps I never buy umbrellas anymore I wonder what does the subway mouse wish for as she scurries from hole to hole? Cause this is no way for a mouse to live

You're a cloud - I watch you in the sky I'm the breeze - feel me on your thigh You're a turtle - I watch you in the stream I'm a ladder - come climb me in your dream Sing on the wind, I'll find you a princess tower to hide Laugh at the moon and cry to the cats who sleep by your side You're an earthquake You're an answer - you help me understand secret passages in a life of sinking sand You're the color of a memory that's hard to find I'm a lantern that hangs on the wall of your mind Sing on the wind, I'll find you a princess tower to hide Laugh at the moon and cry to the cats who sleep by your side
